Daft Pope
Da Funk does floweth through our universe,
From misty sun to rolling ‘long the hearse,
Around the World as skeletons we dance
On glimmering mirror shards our feet advance.
Spun Revolutions—Nine Hundred and Nine—
Upon the turnstile all appears Divine.
Alive, we are! the Musique helps us know,
Poetic guide through heaven and below.
We’re Rollin’ & we’re Scratchin’ vinyl grooves,
Were never quite as deft before these shoes.
“One More Time,” the populations demand:
“Enough?” “Never!” the answer always lands.
It’s Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, it’s
Words everyone knows how to sing by pitch.
There’s Something, all About Us, everywhere
In Nature: mountains, space, and ocean air,
A Robot could detect it in the Rock,
Imagined Love and Hate in every Lock.
We’re Technologic when we buy, we break,
We fix, we trash, we change, we melt, upgrade.
We’ve much in common, the same, spring to fall,
No differences, we’re Human After All.
